Wake Law Office Successfully Assists Restaurant Worker

The Wake Law Office assisted in the successful defense of a Chinese restaurant worker wrongfully accused of breaking and entering into a dwelling.  Mr. Lee* was placing takeout menus outside various homes when a teenager decided to call the police on him.  Because he did not understand English and the police believed the teenager's story, Mr. Lee was charged with breaking and entering.  Attorney Judy Tseng provided door-to-door service at no charge to Mr. Lee, driving him to and from the restaurant because Mr. Lee's family was unfamiliar with the courthouse and did not have time to spare from their restaurant operations to accompany him to court.  The charges were ultimately dismissed, and Mr. Lee has foresworn the duties of placing takeout menus in the neighborhood.
