Attorney Judy Tseng Inducted into NCATL Order of Service

Attorney Judy Tseng of the Wake Law Office was awarded and inducted into the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers at the 2007 annual convention in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.  The award recognizes NCATL members who "are committed to serving the Academy and its mission and have given generously of their time and talent" to NCATL.

Ms. Tseng has been an active member of NCATL since she began practicing in North Carolina in 2001.  She has volunteered and participated in many NCATL events, including serving as a judge in the Wade Edwards High School Mock Trial Competition in Durham, Raleigh, and Charlotte; representing the Hispanic/Latino Issues Division at Fiesta del Pueblo; phone banking; and speaking at an employment law CLE about discrimination cases after the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision Burlington Northern v. White.  She currently serves on the Membership Committee, is the Membership Co-Chair of the Family Law and Employment Law Divisions, and is the Mock Trial Chair for the Young Lawyers Division.

Attorney Tseng was surprised to see her name listed as one of the award recipients in a brochure.  "When I practiced in Virginia, I knew of no organizations like the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers," she states.  "The support and camaraderie among the members is unbelievable and all-around inspiring.  Without the networking and educational opportunities I've gained thanks to NCATL, I would not have had the courage to start my own practice."
